Who I am

I live in Kincardine, Ontario, with my husband and two dogs — our kids are pretty much out of the house but come back for some good home-cooking every now and then. I've spent more than 25 years in nuclear, where things are precise, structured, and safety-focused. That world has shown me how easily people can limit their own options without even realizing it. In my coaching, that's exactly the work I do: helping people find true possibilities where they thought there was only one path. In my consulting, I help organizations bring the same clarity to complex technical work.

Today I work in two connected ways: coaching individuals, and consulting with organizations. Both work the same way, by creating clarity out of complexity.

I connect easily with people and ideas, and I won't rush you toward a tidy answer that isn't actually yours. I'm equal parts practical and intuitive: as comfortable with a spreadsheet as I am following a hunch. That combination is probably why coaching found me instead of the other way around.

What I bring

If I have a gift, it's connecting ideas. I help people see links between things they would never think to put side by side: a career question and a leadership habit, a passing comment and a pattern, an idea from one part of your work that solves a problem in another. Often the clarity you're after is already in the room. It just hasn't been connected yet.

Why this work

There was a point in my own life where career, who I was becoming, what truly mattered to me, and what I was willing to keep carrying all got tangled together into one hard-to-name knot. What I needed wasn't advice — it was someone to ask me the right questions and let me find my own way through it. I found that person, and that was my introduction to coaching. Now I get to be that person for others standing in the same tangle.

Why both coaching and consulting

Whether I'm sitting with one leader or looking at how a department works, I'm doing the same thing: finding what's tangled, and helping it become clear enough to act on.
